Our Vision for Ministry
The vision of First Baptist Church is to Build up and Reach Out. Building up means to build up the body of Christ within the church through opportunities for worship, Christian education, training, spiritual growth, mission, and ministry.
Reaching out means that we have the joy and responsibility to share the love of Jesus with the community around us. We reach out by caring for the physical and spiritual needs of the people and the community around us and by inviting others to be a part of our loving fellowship.

The Purpose Statment of Our Church describes it this way:
"The purpose of First Baptist Church is to seek the spiritual renewal and reconciliation of people to God through Jesus Christ by proclaiming God's love through inspirational worship, by creating an informed congregation, by the personal love of the members for one another, and by demonstrating God's concern for people's spiritual, personal, and social conditions. It is the policy of the Church to actively minister to, and to provide equal opportunity to serve all people with no regard to sex, race, age or national origin. To accomplish this purpose, the church will cooperate with other churches, ecumenical agencies and organizations that strengthen the life of the church, the community and the world."
