A Guide To Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting has been the talked of town these days. It is practiced by celebrities who wants to achieve the ideal weight or the weight that they want quickly. It is much easier to practice than having a strict diet meal plan as you can still eat the food that you want while losing weight.

How is it possible that you can lose weight while still enjoying the foods that you like? Simple. Just use intermittent fasting to lose weight. Intermittent fasting, as its name implies, is a period of alternating the days where you can eat and the days where you fast. This regimen, coupled by self-control and consistency, will help you lose weight.

There are various ways to use intermittent fasting to lose weight. Below is the list of these regimens

1.       24-hour fast

–          Fasting for a period of 24 hours alternate days

2.       8-hour diet

–          Limit the time of intake of fats and calorie for 8 hours per day and fast all throughout the remaining hours

3.       Fast diet

–          In this regimen, one can normally eat for five days per week and limit calorie intake for 2 non-consecutive days

With intermittent fasting, one can increase muscle mass and decrease body fat. Because when you eat, the body would store fats, carbohydrates, proteins and minerals and vitamins in the body. The body will then use carbohydrates to do work and move all day, keeping fats unused and thus making you big and gain weight as your insulin level are high. And when you don’t eat/fast, your body will find ways to survive. One of which is to burn fat for energy. As you burn and use the stored fat, this will eventually lead to firm, strong and lean muscles and reduction of fat in the body.

Turn your ways and start using intermittent fasting as a weight loss practice.
